Weekend in the City

While Las Vegas is known for its high-energy atmosphere, you can definitely enjoy some simple, restful downtime. Wondering how to find relaxing things to do in Vegas? A “Lazy Vegas” guide shows you how.

Saturday Morning

Start your day with a visit to the Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. This free attraction showcases stunning seasonal floral displays, offering what’s possibly the most peaceful way to start your weekend. The Conservatory changes its theme five times a year, so there's always something new to see. Then, consider visiting Bouchon Bakery at The Venetian for a quick snack. Their fresh pastries and delicious coffee are exactly what you need to put an exclamation point on Saturday morning. Grab a croissant or pain au chocolat and find a quiet spot to enjoy your breakfast — then sit back and watch the people pass.

Saturday Afternoon

Treat yourself to a luxurious experience at Qua Baths in Caesars Palace. This spa features thermal baths, saunas, and steam rooms, as well as massages and facials for extra relaxation. The Roman baths are particularly soothing, and the Arctic Ice Room offers a unique and invigorating experience. Bottom line: spend a few hours here and watch your cares melt away.

Saturday Evening

After you’ve grabbed some dinner at the restaurant of your choice, why not take a leisurely stroll along the Strip? The nighttime lights can be quite beautiful when you're not in a rush. Enjoy the sights and sounds at your own pace, stopping to watch street performers or admiring the architecture of the various hotels and casinos. As night falls, make your way to the Fountains of Bellagio show. This water display set to music is a captivating — and romantic — way to spend an evening. Pick a good place to settle down and enjoy the spectacle. Shows run every 30 minutes in the afternoon and early evening, and every 15 minutes from 8:00 pm to midnight, so you can catch multiple performances if you like.

Sunday Morning

Get moving early on Sunday with a scenic drive to Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. You’ll discover beautiful views and trails for hikers of all levels. Don’t worry about burning yourself out — even a short walk here lets you connect with nature and enjoy some fresh air. (Special note: the Calico Hills trail offers stunning views of the red rock formations that give the canyon its name.) While you’re at it, pack a picnic brunch and enjoy a bite to eat at the canyon. Fresh fruit, pastries, and a thermos of coffee? That’s all you need as you gaze at the breathtaking desert landscape.

Sunday Afternoon

After you get back to the city, check out the Neon Museum for a healthy helping of Las Vegas history. This interesting attraction preserves the iconic signs of vintage Vegas, offering a fascinating look at the city's past. (Not Vegas Vic, however. To see the famous neon cowboy, you’ll have to head to Fremont Street — although now he’s outside a souvenir shop instead of a casino.)

Sunday Evening

When it’s time to wind down, what better way to end your weekend than with a gondola ride, gliding along the canals at The Venetian? Choose between indoor and outdoor rides — or, heck… Do them both!

Enjoy Your Weekend!

Remember, the key to a relaxing weekend in Las Vegas is setting your own pace. So, feel free to mix it up — whether you’d like to squeeze in a spa treatment, enjoy a nature walk, or soak up the sun at a rooftop bar, Las Vegas has something rejuvenating and refreshing for everyone.
